Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix had an early aptitude to play sports while studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the at the time. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she went to at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. The youngest winner of the 200 meter in the world championships in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal the following year, beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium across her diverse races during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
