Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes at her particular events.
