Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since November 11, 1996. She made her feature film debut as a Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was a model when she was approached by an aspiring photographer. She has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and naked work, a rule that allowed her to pursue an acting profession. Having come to the attention of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody appears within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 most promising actors of 1986. 38. Doody was just turning 18 when she took on the role as a Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias, in his dream in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. Doody's first leading role came in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam known as the Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend on the film Major League II. Doody came back to acting in 2003 with a minor part on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody was a co-star, along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also to play the lead role for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two seasons. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she was honored by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
